Vietnam is one of the world’s biggest exporters of Cassia/cinnamon. It is used widely in the pharmaceutical, aromatherapy, and food industries.
Vietnam’s Cassia/Cinnamon output reached 41,000 tons, ranking third in the world, accounting for 16% of the global market share after Indonesia (36.8%) and China (33.9%).
The total area of cinnamon cultivation in Vietnam will reach 150,000 hectares in 2022, mainly concentrated in the provinces of Yen Bai, Lao Cai, and Son La.
